American Health Council Appoints Lee Edelstein, M.D., to Physician Board

The American Health Council is proud to appoint Dr. Lee Edelstein of Edelstein Pediatrics in Lake Worth, Florida, to their Board of Physicians.

NEW YORK, NY, August 15, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The American Health Council is proud to appoint Dr. Lee Edelstein of Edelstein Pediatrics in Lake Worth, Florida, to their Board of Physicians. A 22-year veteran in the healthcare industry, including 19 years as a Pediatrician and 13 years in his current solo practice, Dr. Edelstein brings to the AHC a wealth of expertise in General Pediatrics.

Dr. Edelstein received his MD from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 1995 and then did his residency at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. Upon completion Dr. Edelstein joined his childhood pediatrician's practice and remained there for six years before opening his own solo practice in October 2004 with the goal of providing individualized care in a small, family- friendly environment.

Dr. Edelstein wanted to be a physician since age 5; but it wasn't until his third year of medical school when he went through a 4-month period of working only with pediatric-aged patients that he realized his passion was pediatrics. He thoroughly enjoys his day to day responsibilities which includes seeing his patients, staying current with reading his pediatric journals, and keeping up with the ever-changing pediatric guidelines, as well as the administrative tasks associated with running a solo practice.

Dr. Edelstein feels that his professional accomplishments are the relationships he has developed with the children and families he cares for, watching them grow from cradle to graduation and perhaps providing them with 1 or 2 pearls of wisdom that they may one day use. He prides himself on the family centered care his office provides. In terms of personal achievements, Dr. Edelstein cites his three wonderful children.

Dr. Edelstein is board certified in Pediatrics, and is a Fellow of The American Academy of Pediatrics. He is also a member of the Florida Medical Association, and the Palm Beach County Pediatric Society. Charitable organizations which he supports include The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Jacob Isaac Rappoport Foundation for Spinal Muscular Atrophy.

In his spare time, Dr. Edelstein enjoys gardening, watching sports, and drinking coffee while reading his pediatric journals. He also enjoys writing and creating patient-centered educational handouts.
