/24-7PressRelease/ - SAN FRANCISCO, CA, March 20, 2008 - Leadership is the most important ingredient required to tackle the myriad environmental challenges facing humanity.
There is widespread understanding of the impending environmental crises, and extensive scientific research into the nature and scope of these global problems. There are also the financial and technological resources available to help speed the necessary reforms.
The most pressing challenge, however, is to identify and develop the leaders that can bring about the massive changes required to redress global warming. Bright Green Talent was set up specifically to identify, recruit, and develop these leaders.
Founded in early 2007, Bright Green Talent provides executive search, recruitment, and talent consultancy services to the environmental and corporate social responsibility market sectors. Bright Green Talent's mission starts in their own offices--located in both London and San Francisco--where they are helping other organizations discover the benefits of hiring green talent and implementing environmental practices that can increase profitability and produce a more efficient business operation.
Bright Green Talent was founded by Paul Hannam and Tom Savage. They met at Oxford University in 2003 where Paul was an Associate Fellow at the Environmental Change Institute and Tom a post-graduate at the Saïd Business School. Despite their 20-year age gap, Tom and Paul shared a common vision -- to create a global organization that channeled top talent into environmental careers in order to help solve the planet's most pressing problems.
The Chairman, Paul Hannam, founded a successful technology recruitment and training business, as well as taught environmental business at Oxford. Paul is a writer, executive coach, and owns a number of green businesses worldwide.
Managing Director Tom Savage runs Bright Green Talent in Europe and has significant experience as a social entrepreneur and campaigner for responsible business, starting two social businesses and winning the prestigious Edge Upstarts Young Social Entrepreneur of the Year in 2007.
Managing Director Nick Ellis draws on his experiences at Stanford University and the London School of Economics to lead Bright Green's effort in the United States. Before joining Bright Green Talent, Nick worked as an investment banker pioneering the use of clean renewable energy bonds to finance municipal power projects.
Bright Green Talent's clients include organizations in the Cleantech, CSR, Green Building, NGO, Venture Capital, and Carbon Trading sectors. Bright Green Talent's actively engaging individuals looking to transition into green careers, as well as accepting clients looking to build their green teams worldwide.
