LAS VEGAS, NV, August 20, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Armed Forces and Military Veterans Appreciation Inc., a local nonprofit announced today that the Armed Forces Chamber of Commerce will serve as a media sponsor of the 3rd annual Nellis/Creech and Military Veterans Appreciation Day celebration. Set for September 9th, at the beautiful Craig Ranch Regional Park, the event will recognize all of the sacrifices and dedication of the men and women who serve our country and will pay tribute to all active and retired military personnel, first responders and their immediate families. As part of its "Thank You Celebration," free lunches will be provided for all current and past military members, first responders and their families. All guests must bring their valid first responder identification, military identification or veteran's card.
A special "Welcome Home" tribute to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War will honor and thank Vietnam Veterans and their families for their service and sacrifices. To show our appreciation Vegas PBS will be presenting them with 50th Anniversary Commemorative Coins.
The celebration will feature entertainment, live music, there will be a display of military vehicles, a kid's zone and interactive displays for the entire community. A food truck village will also be set up for the public to enjoy and an array of vendors from throughout the community to lend their support.
The Nellis/Creech and Military Veterans and First Responders Appreciation Day celebration is provided by generous sponsors including: City of North Las Vegas, Poker Palace Casino, Laborers Local 872, Signature Real Estate, Aliante Casino, Cannery Casino, Station Casinos, Medic West, Republic Services, International Association of Firefighters Local 1607, Nathan Adelson Hospice, Carrington Mortgage ,Teamsters Local 986, AARP, Palm Mortuary, R and R Partners, Kaemfer Crowell, Martin Harris Construction, NV Energy, North Las Vegas Police Officers Association and North Vista Hospital. The fun kicks off from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Craig Ranch Regional Park, located at 628 W Craig Road, North Las Vegas, NV 89032.

Armed Forces and Military Veterans Appreciation Inc. (AFMVA) was established in 2014 to carry out its mission of support and assistance. Our goal is to provide help in the areas of job connection, education, relocation, and transition from active duty to civilian life alongside our North Las Vegas Veterans Community Commission. On June 15, 2016, North Las Vegas mayor and council adopted a resolution that will now honor those who have lost their lives, along with our active military who have and continue to serve our country.
