BOSTON, MA, August 27, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bradd Levitan is the Boston-born-and-bred founder and owner of Beso Del Sol, the fastest growing Sangria in America and one of the nation's premier boxed wines served at stadiums across the country from Fenway Park (the Official Sangria of the Boston Red Sox) to Yankee Stadium. The top-notch distributor has turned an ordinary summer weekend into the Saturday of a lifetime for Red Sox fan Allison Pereira. The Medford, MA resident just won Beso Del Sol's annual "Box with the Sox" sweepstakes, and she, her mom and dad, her brother and his wife, and a gang of friends will enjoy limitless Beso Del Sol Sangria (which is boxed, thus the pun!) in a luxury box at Fenway for this Saturday's (August 26th) game vs. the Baltimore Orioles.
Originally from Fall River, MA, Pereira, 24, "LOVES the Red Sox," and is a lifelong Sox fan "greatly influenced by my brother and dad." She adds that her "all-time favorite is catcher Jason Varitek, but of course also followed David Ortiz closely." These days, Alison has her keen baseball eye on current short stop Xander Bogaerts.
Pereira added her Red Sox fandom reached its zenith while attending college at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences (MCPHS), and "has been to many games at Fenway," where she enjoys the Italian style sausage heroes and "has a weakness for the ice cream in the helmet."
Allison says that she was first drawn to Beso Del Sol through an in-store tasting at Somerset Liquors (in Somerset, MA); the "Box with the Sox" promotion that she ultimately won had also caught her eye. She enjoyed the Beso Del Sol Red, as well as the new Beso Del Sol Pink at the tasting, and particularly liked the Red, purchasing a TetraPak that day. Family and friends "served it over ice, garnished with strawberries, and loved it!"
Pereira adds that she also loves the Bruins, Patriots, Celtics, and of course, Beso Del Sol, who wouldn't enjoy a "Kiss from the Sun!"
About Beso Del Sol: Beso Del Sol got its start when it won a blind "Judgement of Barcelona" type tasting at Disney - up even against the house-made sangria. It is made from 100% estate-grown grapes (Valdepenas D.O.), all natural, BIB and Tetra for freshness...when founder Bradd Levitan got word that Disney was looking for an eco-friendly sangria. he jumped onto a plane; found a producer in the heart of Spain who could supply all of the grapes as well as package into eco-friendly boxes; created a delicious blend of Tempranillo, Spanish oranges, and cinnamon...In the last 52 weeks in the U.S. (all figures Nielsen,), the sangria category grew 8.08% in value, while Beso Del Sol grew 28%; the sangria category grew 6.6% in volume, while Beso Del Sol grew 284%; and the average price per unit of sangria sold was $8.65, while the average price per unit of Beso Del Sol was $14.67 (169% premium to the category). This year, Beso Del Sol Pink rose sangria was added to the family, and LPGA golfer Belen Mozo signed on as spokeperson! True to its Boston roots (Levitan is Boston born and bred), Beso Del Sol is the Official Sangria of the Boston Red Sox, and is sold at all Fenway Park concessions.
About Bradd Levitan: The Founder & CEO, Beso Del Sol Sangria is considered one of the industry's top distributor and chain account managers. Levitan has enjoyed more than 23 years of success in the wine and spirits industry, currently as CEO of Beso Del Sol Sangria, which he founded in 2013. Beso Del Sol, which translates as "Kiss from the Sun," has a fascinating, Orlando-based back story: in 2013, Disney had put out an RFP for a BIB (bag-in-box) sangria, and Levitan jumped into the fray to develop a super premium, 100% Tempranillo sangria to meet the conglomerate's needs. A "Judgement of Barcelona" type blind tasting - against other BIB sangrias in the market, as well as house-made versions - put Beso Del Sol on top, on the drink menus at Disney, and on the map: in just 6 months, Beso Del Sol was available in all 50 states, far ahead of the 5 years usually required. By August 2016, Beso Del Sol had become the #1 3L Box sangria in the U.S. by volume, and it still sells 169% premium to the industry average (Nielsen, 52-week, Nov. 2016 update). Levitan's career began in 1993 with the Jim Beam Brands Co., for which he oversaw Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Levitan was promoted three times in four years before moving to Florida to join SKYY Spirits and Campari in 1998. His 14 years with the company culminated in Levitan serving as South East Regional Manager, overseeing the portfolio of more than 30 brands across Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Puerto Rico. In 2012, Levitan founded L&B USA LLC, an executive-level wine and spirits sales and marketing consulting company, which played an integral role in shepherding brands such as SKYY Vodka, Sobieski Vodka, and Skinny Girl Margarita from obscurity to success.
Levitan attended Brandeis University outside of Boston, MA and currently resides in Miami, FL. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family.
