"This is an opportunity to showcase some very talented people who do not receive enough credit because their medium is misunderstood," says Ron Sturgeon, Local Businessman.
FORT WORTH, TX, September 27, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- When Ron Sturgeon, the man behind the Art-On-A-Can Arts Festival, puts out the word that he needs sponsors for an event, it does not take long for local business owners to step up to the plate. One such business person is Linda Allen, one of the leading insurance agents in the Fort Worth Metro area and a good friend of Sturgeon.
"This was a no-brainer," said Allen recently. "Ron was asking, and proceeds go to SPCA of Texas. How could I possibly say no when he asked me?"
Linda Allen State Farm has been open for business since 2010. "I am a huge fan of State Farm - after 18 years with the company in five different locations, an opportunity came open in Fort Worth. I love Texas and the people in Fort Worth are incredible! I am one of those who truly loves what they do. You will feel the energy and warmth when you work with me and my team," Allen told us recently. On her mission statement is the phrase "to help people to realize their dreams," and that explains perfectly why she signed on so quickly when this arts festival was announced and her friend, Ron Sturgeon, came knocking.
"This is an arts festival for street artists and graffiti artists," says Sturgeon. "This is an opportunity to showcase some very talented people who do not receive enough credit because their medium is misunderstood. Some of today's most talented artists just happen to be graffiti artists, and if you come to the arts festival you'll find out for yourself just how cool street art can be."
The festival will be held at Box Office Warehouse Suites, Sturgeon's latest project, the first and only business park in Fort Worth made entirely out of shipping containers.
"It was easy getting sponsors for this event," Sturgeon said. "Sure, everyone is curious about this new business park and sure, everyone wants to see the art, but, as Linda would also tell you, the fact that proceeds go to the SPCA of Texas, to help in the prevention of cruelty to animals, well that's just icing on the cake."
Sturgeon says everyone is welcome at this kid and pet friendly event. Admission is $5 with kids under 12 free, and 100% of the entrance fees go towards SPCA. You can buy your tickets at EventBrite.com, on site, or for advanced tickets go to Graffitiartfestival.com.
Box Office Warehouse Suites is located at 1953 Golden Heights Road, just north of Fort Worth in the Alliance area, off the Interstate 35 at the Golden Triangle Exit. The Festival will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 17, 2018.
