"This festival will be unlike anything seen before in this area, and all the proceeds go to the SPCA of Texas, one of my favorite causes," states Ron Sturgeon, Local Developer
FORT WORTH, TX, October 11, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Say this about Ron Sturgeon, local Fort Worth serial entrepreneur... he doesn't fit the mode in any way, shape, or form. There seems to be some DNA abnormality which forces him off the paved highways of life onto the paths less taken.
How else do you explain a homeless teen scratching and clawing his way to the top of the auto salvage business, only to switch gears and become one of the leading real estate developers in the Fort Worth area? Now that teen turned millionaire is opening the first business park in the Alliance Area made entirely out of shipping containers, Box Office Warehouse Suites, and embracing that new business venture by showcasing the rarely-mentioned graffiti/street art community.
It defies all logic and yet, it is happening March 17, 2018. Welcome to Sturgeon's world!
"I don't believe anyone makes it in this world without taking chances," Sturgeon recently explained. "Anyone can build a boring business park. Just follow the template of a thousand developers, rectangle buildings made of post-and-beam construction, paint it an institutional gray, and call it a business park. It is uninspired and dull, but it is a business park. Well I wanted something different, something for small business owners, something inspiring and exciting, something eco-friendly that would appeal to minimalists, and here we are!"
Here we are indeed, thirty-eight business suites made out of 100 shipping containers from Container King, one of the other festival sponsors, and the site of the first graffiti and street art festival in Fort Worth.
"It's going to be a full day of fun for the family," Sturgeon continues. "We have prize drawings throughout the day, live music, a DJ, fun and games, and man oh man, do we have some great graffiti art for you to look at. This festival will be unlike anything seen before in this area, and all the proceeds go to the SPCA of Texas, one of my favorite causes."
Besides Container King, the other sponsors of the Arts Festival are: Salon & Spa Galleria, Ron Sturgeon Real Estate, Hangman's House of Horrors, Box Office Warehouse Suites, Blue Mound 287 Self Storage, Linda Allen State Farm, Made in Fort Worth, Dallas Car Storage, and of course, SPCA of Texas!
Sturgeon says everyone is welcome at this kid and pet friendly event. Admission is $5 with kids under 12 free, and 100% of the entrance fees go to SPCA. You can buy your tickets at EventBrite.com, on site, or, for advanced tickets, go to Graffitiartfestival.com.
Box Office Warehouse Suites is located at 1953 Golden Heights Road, just north of Fort Worth in the Alliance area, off the Interstate 35 at the Golden Triangle Exit. The Festival will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 17, 2018.
