The original idea was to tear down the barn and erect a modern business park, but one look at The Barn and I knew we had to save it," Sturgeon said. He recently built the first, and only, Fort Worth business park made entirely out of shipping containers, Box Office Warehouse Suites, so the idea of saving an old barn and making it into an affordable venue was not a radical idea for him at all.

"I kept looking at The Barn and thinking what if I had a daughter . . . where would I want her to be married? Some traditional wedding hall? Some traditional church? Or somewhere that had character, a rustic wedding in one of the few barn venues for weddings in the area? Once I thought about it like that, the answer and our path were pretty simple to envision."
