NEW YORK, NY, September 07, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The American Health Council is proud to elect Julie Trinh, Registered Nurse at Kaiser Permanente in Portland, OR, to their Nursing Board. With 13 years in the healthcare industry, including 7 in her current role, Ms. Trinh brings to the American Health Council expertise in Nursing and Patient Education.
Ms. Trinh came to America in 1983. She learned English as a second language in school and later attended college while being a single mother. While in school, she not only gained an education, but also developed experience working with people of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds.
Becoming inspired from a family of healthcare professionals, who encouraged her current occupation, Ms. Trinh went on to receive both her Associate in Nursing and BS in Nursing-related studies. At Kaiser Permanente, a hospital known for focusing on preventative and quality of care, Julie partakes in daily tasks such as advising, monitoring, and managing medication.
In the next 5 years, Ms. Trinh has a desire to become a leader within her field, along with continuing her Nursing education. She is affiliated with the American Diabetes Association and the Chris Dudley Foundation, both of which are Community Outreach Programs that promote diabetes awareness and help assist those living with diabetes.
In her spare time, Ms. Trinh enjoys preparing and enjoying home-cooked meals with her family and friends, gardening, traveling, hiking, and learning about diverse cultures. She cites attaining her Nursing degree as her most honorable, personal achievement, as it has allowed her to continue helping others within her community.
