Local Art and Crafts Vendors To Show Their Artistry at Art-On-A-Can Arts Festival

    FORT WORTH, TX, December 06, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Who knew that local real estate developer and serial entrepreneur, Ron Sturgeon, was an art connoisseur, and especially a connoisseur of street art/graffiti?

"It makes perfect sense," Sturgeon says. "Our new business park, Box Office Warehouse Suites, recently opened up. It's a one-of-a-kind business park, made entirely from shipping containers. Our intent from the very beginning was for it to be a unique, fun place to plant your small business; a funky venue for a new and creative generation of business owners. So incorporating street art/graffiti into the mix seemed only natural, since that is an underappreciated medium for this generation.

"That's where the idea of having an arts festival came from, so then we invited all these local artists and craftsmen to show off their wares. We'll even have a gallery walk featuring the work of local artists, and some of the shipping containers will be painted by graffiti artists. This is going to be a full day of art appreciation, and all proceeds will benefit my favorite charity organization, the SPCA of Texas."

The SPCA will have their mobile adoption vehicle on-site, filled with furry friends looking for a new home. They will also have an information table with information about upcoming events, volunteer programs, and a foster program. The event is scheduled for St. Patrick's Day, there will also be a Dog Costume Contest; all attendees are encouraged to bring their dogs in costume for the event.

Live music, a DJ, great food, drawings for amazing prizes, a free alien based survival game inside the shipping containers by Hangman's House of Horrors, and even a tour of the business park are just some of the activities that are in store for this arts festival.

"We just want this to be a fun filled day, benefit a good organization, give a shout-out to some talented artists, and of course show off our new business park," Sturgeon concluded.

The Arts Festival will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sturgeon wants to make sure everyone knows dogs are welcomed. Tickets will be $5 per person, kids under 12 are free, and all proceeds will go to SPCA of Texas.

Box Office Warehouse Suites is located at 1953 Golden Heights Road, just north of Fort Worth in the Alliance area, off the Interstate 35 at the Golden Triangle Exit. The Festival will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 17, 2018.
