She has perfected this dish by applying her years of experience to make this time-honored holiday tradition as good as it can be. From September 18 through "break the fast" on September 30, the restaurant will be serving Chef Sarah Stegner's Chopped Chicken Liver ($8), made with succulent chicken liver and topped with crumbled hardboiled egg, green onion and fried shallots. This rendition is sure to please everyone throughout the holiday period.
"I worked on the recipe with Cindy Schwartz Kienzle, chef/owner of the Hungry Monkey Baking Company (www.hungrymonkeybaking.com), and I appreciate her input," said Stegner. "She was my taste tester. I wanted to make sure the chopped liver was as delicious as can be and I think our guests will be very pleased with the result."
Want to bring some of this deliciousness home for a family celebration? Pre-order the Chopped Chicken Liver by the quart, priced at $25 per quart. Orders must be received at least 48 hours in advance. To make the dish gluten free, ask for no shallots.
