Jacobs Law Group Welcomes Small Business Advocate Mark R. Cuker

With more than 40 years' experience, Cuker has been highly successful at achieving results in small business advocacy, environmental litigation, pharmacy mass action, and consumer class action cases.

One of the foremost environmental litigation lawyers in the United States, Cuker has experience with high-profile toxic tort cases. The most notable of these is the Toms River case, which was chronicled on television and in a Pulitzer Prize winning book. He brings this area of deep expertise to Jacobs Law Group, where it can also be used to help businesses saddled with properties contaminated with toxic chemicals.

He is currently representing plaintiffs in an ongoing mass action lawsuit, filed on behalf of over 450 independent pharmacies, which aims to combat unfairly low reimbursements for prescription drug costs by Optum Rx (formerly Catamaran), a large pharmacy benefits management company.

Cuker is a member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates, the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Associations, and Trial Lawyers for Public Justice. He also is a member of the board of directors of TEACH (Toxic Environments Affect Children's Health). His analyses of legal issues concerning consumers, businesses, municipalities, and the environment are frequently sought by the news media, and his articles on these subjects have been published in the Philadelphia Daily News, Pennsylvania Bar Association Quarterly, Toxics Law Reporter, Pennsylvania Law Weekly, and the Villanova Law Review.
