    HONG KONG, September 21, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Well Being Digital Limited announced that with almost 50 patents in its portfolio, its heart rate sensing technology (ActivHearts) for sports earphones has enabled a world leading audio brand to launch a superbly designed sports earphones with excellent audio performance and accurate heart rate sensing technology at the recent IFA 2017, which will start shipping in Oct 2017.

"ActivHearts technology detects heart rate signals using multiple infrared sensors near the ear canal, the advantage of our design results in an earbud that is much smaller and fitting to consumers especially those with smaller ears, and since the ActivHearts sensors are mounted onto the sound tube, it can achieve better acoustic quality while sensing heart rate signals more accurately," says Co-Founder Kow Ping. In addition, ActivHearts uses Infrared light that does not get absorbed by the human skin and is therefore safer to use, similar to the technology used in hospital's pulse oximeters.

The other designs in the market require bigger sensor that is harder to fit and uncomfortable to wear, resulting in either inaccurate heart rate signals or inferior audio quality, or both.

ActivHearts has been tested for more than 1,000 accumulated miles on users of different genders, ear shapes and skin colors. It has also been tested under different external environments such as hot, cold, wet and sunny and even under intense interval training. The results are always extremely close to the reference chestbelt.
