Fastlane e-Commerce Platform Gets Car Dealers Up and Running Online Fast to Meet The Need for New Cars in States Impacted by Hurricane Irma

Fastlane is helping aid dealers in areas affected by Hurricane Irma by providing an online car-buying presence so dealers can get their inventory sold to remote customers in the most efficient and expedient manner

MIAMI, FL, September 29, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- According to an analysis by Cox Automotive, victims of Hurricane Irma's destruction will need to replace 200,000 to 400,000 vehicles, not including new vehicles waiting to be sold. In comparison, Hurricane Harvey destroyed 300,000 to 500,000 vehicles in the Houston market.

Between Harvey and Irma, new-vehicle sales are expected to hurt in the short run as dealers are working with fewer selling days after closing during the storms. In Florida, the industry lost about seven selling days due to preparation for the storm and its aftermath, resulting in a decline of 20,000 to 30,000 in new-vehicle sales. As Irma likely sets up a period of intense buying activity in the near future, supply will be constrained for the time being and will drive up local prices.

Fastlane is helping aid dealers in South Florida and its neighboring states, Georgia and South Carolina, by providing an online car-buying presence so dealers can get their inventory sold to remote customers in the most efficient and expedient manner possible.

"We want to help area car dealers and dealer groups meet this demand," said Brandon Hall, Fastlane's CEO. "We're here to make sure car buyers are able to purchase the vehicle they need, as quickly as possible, while maintaining a high-quality buying experience which dealers and their customers expect."

Fastlane's platform offers car dealers the ability to customize and brand their online car buying experience, while providing customers with a start-to-finish purchasing process. "Fastlane is a complete car buying system, with advanced features and customizability," said David Luce, Fastlane's VP of Sales. "The platform seamlessly walks customers through the many aspects of the buying process, all online."

Car dealers in such markets as Miami, Naples, Pensacola, Jacksonville, Savannah and Charleston should contact at [email protected] to receive an online demo and discuss the best ways they can use the platform to meet the immediate need for new cars and to build their online sales capability going forward. Online demos can also be requested at Fastlane's website, www.fastlane.car.
