Artists and Judges Needed for Graffiti / Street Art Contest

    FORT WORTH, TX, October 03, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- True to its fashion among standing out and being unique, Box Office Warehouse Suites is hosting the Art on a Can contest and looking for 5 final contestants to compete in the graffiti and street art festival along with 3 judges. This contest will showcase graffiti and street artists throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

So, what's in it for the artist you ask?

The final 5 chosen contestants will each receive $1000 to cover material costs and time. Their chosen art piece will be displayed on the side of the shipping container building. As it is a live competition, the grand prize winner will receive an additional $500 for their art piece, totaling the $1500 grand prize. Aside from monetary compensation, the artist will also be part of the Box Office Warehouse Suites event marketing campaign; which includes, but is not limited to, individualized press releases prepared by a professional writer, YouTube video featuring the artist and their work, social media visibility, a weatherproof plaque with the artist's name and desired contact information posted with the mural.

Each judge will also receive monetary compensation for their time, recognition in marketing campaign as well as a personalized invitation to the graffiti and street art festival.

Talking about the contest, and giving his perspective for the event, Ron Sturgeon, local developer says, "We wanted to celebrate the dynamic energy that urban graffiti/street art brings to a community, so we decided to sponsor a contest, the Art on a Can Contest (Grand Prize $1,500), to raise awareness about graffiti and to also incorporate something different into the grand opening of Box Office Warehouse Suites."
