BALDWIN, NY, October 11, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- On October 14th, players from around the country will be gathering to compete for the SASN World Cup 2017. This one day tournament brings together a collection of 150+ players and hundreds of friends, family and fans to watch these players represent the country of their roots for a great cause.
Each team had an opportunity to choose the charity that they were playing for. But, in a show of unity all 10 teams representing the 10 different countries have decided to play for All Hands Volunteers. With the catastrophic hurricanes that have hit our country everyone felt that this was a cause that needed to be supported. The net proceeds of this tournament will go to All Hands Volunteers and to establish the South Asian Sports Scholarship (SASS) a scholarship that will be open to all high school, college, and university level students regardless of affiliation or ethnicity provided that they reside in Long Island or New York City. This tournament is sponsored by BIOTEMPER, Sardar M. Asadullah Law Firm, and ICS Recruiting and Zara Realty..
Each jersey has been custom designed to display the American stars on the shoulders representing that we are all Americans, and the rest of the design shows the country where they or their previous generations emigrated from.
This tournament highlights the unity found through playing sports. Players from different backgrounds, different religions, and different cultures share the common bond of playing softball. No differences on the field we are all 1. This is a completely FREE event with no entrance fee.
