Telugu Star Bramhanandam Received Warm Welcome in Seattle

The legendary actor was the Guest of Honor at the Opening Gala of Tasveer 12th South Asian Film Festival held at the Seattle Art Museum (SAM) on October 6.



    SEATTLE, WA, October 11, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The timing of the visit of super comedian star Bramhanandam to Seattle couldn't have been any better, especially when, the population growth of Telugu speaking community in the State of Washington has reached to a new height because of increasing workforce in the local IT Industry and start ups. The actor was the Guest of Honor at the Opening Gala of Tasveer 12th South Asian Film Festival held at the Seattle Art Museum (SAM) on October 6. At the Gala Mr. Bramhanandam was introduced by former Seattle mayor Mike McGinn, who also presented him with the letter of recognition from Washington State Lieutenant Governor Cyrus Habib. The comic legend--who holds the Guinness world record for the most screen credits (1176 to date) for a living actor--spoke about his career and what it means to him to be an actor and performer, even giving the audience an impromptu example of his work. His warmth and humor delighted his many fans in the crowd.

On Saturday October 7th, Legendary film star and comedian Bramhanandam Garu was felicitated by former US Congressman (SEATTLE) Jim McDermott at the South Asia Center of the University of Washington. It is important to note here that Congressman Jim McDermott is now teaching foreign policy and international relations at the Henry Jackson School of international Studies after serving 14 terms in the US house of Congress. Congressman McDermott welcomed Bramhanandam Garu by presenting him a University of Washington scarf and hat. In his speech, Congressman highlighted legendary actor's deep dedication to arts by working in 1176 movies in 30 years which is about 3 every month. In his speech Bramhanandam Garu touched many aspects of life and spirituality in connection with arts and culture.
