CHICAGO, IL, October 25, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Next College Student Athlete (NCSA), the largest and most successful athletic recruiting network that matches student-athletes with college coaches, has been recognized by Crain's Chicago Business on its list of 2017 "Coolest Offices" honorees.
Crain's annual "Coolest Offices" award selects the highest-functioning and trendiest workspaces in the six-county Chicago-area and northern Indiana. The judging is based on functionality, uniqueness and design.
"We are proud to have our workplace recognized on this list," said Lisa Strasman, NCSA president. "We wanted a workspace where our team could work collaboratively and creatively for the student-athletes and coaches we serve, and we're confident our new office allows for that."
Since its inception in 2000, NCSA has seen steady growth year after year and was quickly running out of room in its old space. The new, 40,000-square-foot headquarters is located in the heart of the New City area of Lincoln Park at 1333 N. Kingsbury St., and is now home court to many of NCSA's 650+ team members. A turf-covered reception area, indoor track (a holdover from a bicycle manufacturer that once occupied the former industrial space), floor-to-ceiling windows that allow for plenty of natural light, and two balconies with expansive views of the Chicago skyline, all add to the cool factor.
The unique workspace is a perfect fit for a unique kind of workforce. NCSA's team includes many former professional and collegiate coaches and athletes who educate high school athletes on the recruiting process and help them connect to more than 35,000 college coaches in its recruiting network.
