SAN FRANCISCO, CA, November 16, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Grammy Award Winning Artist Kitaro and his long-term label, Domo Music Group, are teaming up with three Sonoma County non-profit organizations (Live Music Lantern, Everybody is a Star and the Raven Performing Arts Theater) to put on a special FREE matinee show for Sonoma County residents impacted by the fires, fire relief workers, social workers and educators. This FREE show will be uniquely different from his Kojiki concert happening later that night (also at the Raven Performing Arts Theater) as its centered on community healing. The show also features a performance by Eki Shola, a Sonoma County singer-songwriter who lost her home in the fires. This FREE show will take place on Sunday, November 19th at 2:30 pm at the Raven Performing Arts Theater.
There are a variety of reasons this event is so important to so many. Sonoma County Residents impacted by the fires have experienced the trauma of their lives and music is vital to their healing. In addition, fire relief workers, social workers, and educators have, and will continue to be, on the front lines of helping people recover from this community trauma. They offer support services instrumental to rebuilding efforts including: providing transitional housing for those who lost their homes, feeding those impacted by the fires, and supporting kids that are working through extreme trauma. The transformational music of Kitaro will contribute to the healing of the entire community.
To obtain your FREE Tickets which will be offered on a 1st come-1st served basis to potential recipients, you must register at http://www.LiveMusicLantern.org. Once all the tickets have been distributed, potential recipients can request to be put on the waiting list by emailing [email protected].
Kitaro is currently on tour with his totally unique audio and visual experience, the presentation of "Kojiki and The Universe" which merges Kitaro's music for the show with dynamic space-age photographic scenes of the Universe. The awesome visuals feature time-lapse images, expertly intertwined with real-time films provided by, and in cooperation with, NASA and Kyoto University. Watch the tour trailer here (http://bit.ly/UniverseTour). He will be performing that same evening at the Raven Performing Arts Theater at 7:30 pm.
