International Artist Elisabetta Fantone Takes Over The National Hotel For Art Basel

    MIAMI, FL, November 17, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Art collectors, artists, hotel guests and visitors on South Beach will be immersed in a playful, provocative, and iconoclastic new art exhibition featuring international pop artist, actress and model, Elisabetta Fantone. Her work will be showcased in unconventional places throughout the National Hotel and celebrated with a cocktail launch party and CORUM watch reveal, pop-up retail shop, and closing brunch during Art Basel week, December 7th through the 10th, 2017.

Elisabetta Fantone will kick off Art Basel festivities at the hotel by hosting a public cocktail party on December 7th, 2017 from 8 p.m. to midnight. She will reveal her latest pop art collection and meet-and-greet attendees to talk about the new release of her second watch made in collaboration with Swiss high-end luxury watch manufacturer CORUM. Additionally, attendees will enjoy one-of-a-kind art display, pop-up retail shop with limited edition items in the hotel's Martini Room, live entertainment, signature Art Basel cocktails, and bites from Tamara's Bistro. A preview to her upcoming collection, Fantone will be wearing a dress made in collaboration with renowned French designer Marie Saint-Pierre. Pieces from the new collection will be available for order at the opening event.

To complete Art Basel week, Fantone's finale will include a closing party brunch at Tamara's Bistro on Sunday, December 10th from 12-3 p.m. The brunch is priced at $39 per person and $20 for bottomless mimosas.

A variety of art pieces and installations will consume The National Hotel. The hotel's Art Deco interior and exterior spaces will be decorated with Fantone's signature artwork, including the pool and restaurant, and one of the hotel's Luxury Cabana Suites.

Fantone's career transcends art beginning with her creative journey as a model, actress, and author. She has been featured in notable films such as "Big Eyes" directed by Tim Burton and "My Name is Sandy," which screened at the Cannes Film Festival. Many of the world's biggest celebrities including Muhammad Ali, Celine Dion and the Kardashians have commissioned pieces of Fantone's multi-hued acrylic portraits reminiscent of the pop art movement.

Her intricate and colorful paintings are showcased in some of the world's most prestigious galleries and private collections. Elisabetta's art reached new heights, literally, with one of her largest creations; a mural she painted for Art Basel in 2015. The piece, titled 'Crimes Against Art' features the portraits of Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol posing for their fictional mug shots. The year before, Elisabetta painted the widely revered mural titled 'The Affair", featuring the portraits of the Kennedys and Marilyn Monroe. 'The Affair' was later featured in a Bacardi commercial. In conjunction with Art Basel 2016, she exhibited her latest collection, "Imaginibus," in the Wynwood Arts District, and revealed her exclusively designed CORUM "Bubble" watch.

Fantone's new exhibition and floor-to-ceiling decorations will be open to the public starting during Art Basel, December 7-10th, 2017.
