ATLANTA, GA, December 02, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- On Tuesday morning, October 31st, the 13th Singapore restaurant location for Texas Chicken opened at Changi Airport in Terminal T4. The latest restaurant, which is replacing one that was formerly located in the airport's main terminal, features automated self-ordering kiosks - a technological innovation that will add value and enhance convenience for the nearly 59 million travelers who pass through Changi Airport every year.
"Singapore is an important market for Texas Chicken in Asia, and we're proud to see our brand grow in such a vibrant market and be able to offer consumers a robust experience in terms of product, technology, and brand presence," said Tony Moralejo, Executive Vice President of International Business for Church's Chicken/Texas Chicken. "We have a proven franchisee behind the wheel of this state-of-the-art restaurant and we're looking forward to this new chapter in the brand's story in Asia and beyond."
Heading up the Changi Airport restaurant is Select Group - a leading food-service provider with a 25-year track record of serving people from all walks of life in Singapore. Select Group currently manages thousands of dedicated staff members across 160 establishments in Singapore and overseas, and brings extensive experience in the food and beverage industry to the quick service restaurant model. "We are proud and excited to be the first-ever Texas Chicken restaurant to offer the industry's leading-edge customer service technology," said Vincent Tan, founder and Managing Director of Select Group.
Often considered "the world's best airport" in terms of design, technology, and innovation, the new Texas Chicken restaurant is an excellent fit for the T4 Terminal, which is also a new addition to the airport. The restaurant also adds to the expanding international footprint for Church's Chicken/Texas Chicken in 2017, which has been a year of strategic global expansion for the brand.
"This is the first of many more innovations to come for both Church's Chicken and Texas Chicken," said Moralejo. "The vision is that this new restaurant will serve as the standard for future openings in the region and new territories."
