New Version of Rose City Software\'s Registry First Aid for Windows Announced

Version 4.0 of Registry First Aid, Rose City Software\'s premiere Windows Registry error detection and repair tool was released in March of 2005. This critically acclaimed utility known for its ease-of-use, offers significantly improved performance and a number of powerful new features.

/24-7PressRelease.com/ Lake Oswego, OR - March 24, 2005 - As always, Registry First Aid helps speed up PC performance including slow start-ups, and helps avoid many common causes of Windows crashes and other registry related problems. It does this by using proprietary technology to detect and correct errors in the Windows registry. Indispensable to both computer professionals and novices alike, the revolutionary new 4.0 release has several new features especially targeting novices in computing, making it easier and safer to use than ever before.

One of the most exciting new features is the ability to display the problems by safety level after detection. By using green, yellow and red safety condition indicators, the user is assured that all in the green category are safe to repair. The yellow requires careful consideration, and red should be left for the advanced users. The display can easily be toggled back and forth to satisfy both the beginner as well as the advanced power users. As always, all registry modifications are completely reversible using simple Registry First Aid features, should something important be unintentionally deleted.

Version 4.0 also adds a new visual legend along with Icons to see what each item discovered corresponds to in the registry. By looking at the Icons for each item found and the legend, the user can see if these are references to nonexistent files or folders, entries remaining after deleted or moved shortcuts from the Start Menu and so on. This helps the user gain an understanding of what each problem is and what's being fixed.

The new 4.0 release features a new rebuilt search engine making it faster and more powerful than before. Registry First Aid has consistently been the leader in registry repair, finding more problems than any of the competition, and it continues this trend in this new release. Because of its popularity, Registry First Aid has become one of the most imitated software programs on the market with a dozen clones on the Internet now. You can imitate what a program looks like, but you cannot duplicate the time-tested inner workings that Rose City Software has been developing for the last five years.

A free trial version of Registry First Aid can be downloaded from the Rose City Software website at http://rosecitysoftware.com.

Registry First Aid 4.0 retails for $27.95; registered users of the previous versions may upgrade for free or with a 40% discount if they bought longer than six months ago. Registered users can go to http://registry-first-aid.com to check to see which upgrade they qualify for.

Registry First Aid requires Windows 98 , Windows ME , Windows NT4 + SP4, Windows 2000 , Windows XP or Windows 2003 Standard Server.
