The Douglas Company, General Contractor, Announced a Number of Internal Promotions That Will Advance the Company's Strategic Position Within the Market

    HOLLAND, OH, January 24, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Douglas Company, General Contractor, announced a number of internal promotions that will advance the company's strategic position within the market. Through hard work, dedication and demonstration of The Douglas Company Core Values the following individual promotions have been announced: Brian McCarthy from Vice President of Construction to Executive Vice President of Midwest Construction Operations, Drew Rahrig from Senior Project Manager to Vice President of Construction and Andrew Barger and Ryon Barker from Estimating Coordinators to Project Estimators. "The announcement of these promotions highlights our core purpose of contributing to the success of our clients and associates, as well as, our core value of growth of our Associates and business through learning, teamwork, and leadership," said Gayle Ashbridge, Director of People Development with The Douglas Company.

Brian McCarthy promoted to Executive Vice President, Midwest Construction Operations. Brian will be responsible for all of the construction operations in the Toledo, Ohio office. Brian has been with the company for over thirty years and has honed his skills in leadership, project management, purchasing, supervision, scheduling, project cost estimating, maintaining client relationships, and the ability to complete projects on schedule and within budget.

Drew Rahrig promoted to Vice President of Construction. Drew began his career with The Douglas Company as a co-op from The University of Toledo and has excelled in his career through dedication, hard work, commitment to his clients and exemplary leadership. Drew has proven himself as committed to our core purpose and values as evidenced through his coaching and mentoring of others. From a project perspective, Drew is able to work through project details; schedule project manpower and material deliveries; work to control project costs, and complete the project successfully and on schedule.

Andrew Barger and Ryon Barker were both promoted from Estimating Coordinators to Project Estimators. Andrew and Ryon have both rapidly progressed in their careers during the few short years since they joined The Douglas Company estimating team. Since joining the team, Andrew has earned his Professional Estimators certificate, and Ryon has obtained his Masters of Leadership certificate and is a LEED Green Associate. Both play in intricate role in the mentoring of other associates within their team to prepare estimates on a wide range of project types including conceptual budgets, through firm bidding, while continuously adding value for our clients.
