Phoenix Business Journal, the source for business news in Phoenix metro, ranked top firms for their corporate volunteer hours. Corporations with a large presence in the Valley like Intel, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo & Co., also ranked high on the list. Despite the smaller Arizona presence, Solugenix's work on the Arizona Science Bowl garnered a spot on the list. The Arizona Science Bowl brings together students from middle and high schools across Arizona to face-off in fast-paced question and answer rounds on a range of science disciplines including biology, chemistry, energy, space science, physics, and math. Over 50 school teams compete annually, with the winning team awarded an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C. to compete in the National Science Bowl.
