LITTLETON, CO, February 22, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The 21st Annual AIRLIFE Memorial Run/Walk and EMS Celebration, benefiting the Friends of AirLife, takes place Saturday, May 12th at The Hudson Gardens and Event Center in Littleton, CO. The event includes a 5k/10k run, 5k walk and kid's fun run, as well as a "fire/EMS muster," the EMS Volleyball Challenge Tournament and numerous activities for all ages to enjoy.
Activities for children include the free kid's fun run, the kids combat challenge, a bouncy castle, bungee trampolines, a kids zip line, face painting and special appearances by local professional sports team mascots.
The 5K/10K run begins at 8AM, followed by the Walk then Kids Run. A volleyball challenge will kick-off at 10:30am. The AirLife Memorial 5k/10k Run and 5k Walk is $35 for adults and $20 for children (17 and under) prior to race day. Race day registration is $40 for adults and $22.50 for children. As an organization providing charitable support to EMS professionals, Friends of AirLIFE is the non-profit arm of AirLIFE, the HealthONE system of hospital's emergency medical and critical care transport service. Friends of AirLIFE was established in 1997 following the fatal helicopter crash helicopter crash that took the lives of pilot Pete Alplanlap and flight nurses Beth Barber and Leslie Feldemann. Today AirLIFE provides critical care air and ground transportation across a 10-state region.

About AIRLIFE
AIRLIFE Denver is the Emergency Medical/Critical Care Transport Service of HealthONE, which provides air and ground critical care transport for both adult and pediatric medical/trauma patients. The primary medical crews include two-flight crew, each with a minimum of five years' experience, in critical care and emergency medicine. AIRLIFE also provides High Risk Obstetrical Transport, High Risk Neonatal Transport, Intra-aortic Balloon Pump Transport, and the nation's first Stroke Certified Air Transport Team.
