Heartland Advisors Named "Top Guns Manager" on PSN Manager Database for Heartland Mid Cap Value Strategy

    MILWAUKEE, WI, March 01, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Heartland Advisors has earned a "Top Guns" designation for the fourth quarter of 2017 by Informa Investment Solutions based on the performance of the firm's Mid Cap Value Strategy. Informa compiles the PSN manager database, North America's longest running database of investment managers.

For its Mid Cap Value Strategy, Heartland earned a "Top Guns of the Decade" award in PSN's Mid Value Universe.

To qualify for the Top Guns of the Decade award, an investment vehicle must have an R-Squared of 0.80 or greater relative to the style benchmark for the latest 10-year period. Moreover, products must have returns greater than the style benchmark for the latest 10-year period and also Standard Deviation less than the style benchmark for the latest ten-year period. Informa then identifies the top 10 performers for the latest 10-year period as the "PSN Top Guns of the Decade."
