New Digital Art Program Launched for Individuals with Autism

In a nutshell, art helps me cope with the challenges of living with Asperger's syndrome and offers an outlet for me to express myself with ease - even to this day. I want this digital art program for autism to provide the same benefits to my students as it did for me.

The art lessons I've put together on ASDC are intended to be many things, including an early intervention program that features brain-boosting activities. I also share tidbits about my own life experiences into each lesson and highlight how I overcame some of the challenges I've faced over the years."

While there are archives of free video art lessons open to the public on channels like YouTube and Vevo, for example, ASDC reiterated at a networking event in New Jersey that the services provided on their platform is different. According to a company representative, ASDC's services are beneficial to users because each lesson is programmed with the autistic viewer in mind.

The lessons are kept simple with tools like stencils used initially to create basic sketches that can be expanded upon using various painting, blending, and shading techniques. Another exclusive feature is that the art lessons are taught by a special needs individual - for individuals with special needs.
