ROCKVILLE, MD, March 22, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Yaeger CPA Review was among the invited guests that attended the annual meeting, sponsored by the AICPA, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The APACPA, American Professional Accounting Certification Providers Association, is a select group of recognized CPA review course providers. This year's meeting included an extra half day workshop, the Item Writers Training, for approved review providers.
Yaeger CPA Review arranged to have two additional members of their team attend this critically important training session. Phil Yaeger, owner and CEO of Yaeger CPA Review, said, "It is important that we take advantage of every tool the AICPA offers, so we can continue to provide our students with the best resources available when it comes to CPA exam prep." At Yaeger CPA Review, their focus is on the AICPA blueprints. The company's textbooks and video lectures all center on understanding the blueprint's representative tasks and solving multiple choice and simulations based on these blueprints. Phil reiterates his position that "understanding how the AICPA writes their questions will be an enormous study aid for candidates." Phil is anxious to integrate what he and his team learned from the meeting into his course materials.
In addition to helping CPA candidates pass the prestigious CPA Exam, Phil is a strong philanthropist. Whenever he talks to candidates about the numerous benefits of becoming certified, he always includes the fact that his own certification opened many doors for him. Once certified, he chose not to go down the path of working as an accountant in an office. His passion was teaching, and the CPA certification made a career in teaching possible, starting with teaching at universities, opening his own CPA review course more than 41 years ago, and now reaching a point of financial security that enables him to be able to donate funds to worthy causes.
Working through an organization called Charity Buzz, Phil Yaeger has donated tens of thousands of dollars to such charities as Why Hunger, Breast Cancer Research, Parkinson's Disease Research, Lulu & Leo Fund, and My Face, just to name a few. As a bonus, he has had the opportunity to be on the set of Shark Tank, he has enjoyed lunch with Robert Herjavec, participated in a two hour Skype call with Barbara Corcoran, and has spoken with Kevin O'Leary and Mark Cuban. He has also met with Willie Geist from Morning Joe and the Today Show and Hoda Kotb, also from the Today Show, as well as Kathie Lee, Olivia Newton-John, Donnie & Marie, Cousin Brucie, and several others.
Clearly, becoming a CPA has its perks. Phil and Yaeger CPA Review are committed to helping candidates to accomplish their goals.
