LOUISVILLE, KY, March 24, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The attorneys at Becker Law Office recognize the value of a college education and are pleased to announce the 2018 Scholarship Essay Contest to help students pursue their higher education goals.
Three scholarships, totaling $5,000, will be awarded to the students selected as the contest winners.
"Our law office was pleased to award scholarships to three deserving students in 2017," said Kevin Renfro, managing partner of Becker Law Office. "We are delighted to have the opportunity to do so again."
The scholarship awards will include:
o First Place-$2,500
o Second Place-$1,500
o Third Place-$1,000
Graduating high school seniors and college students are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
The deadline for submission of an application is April 15, 2018. The winners will receive notification on or before May 1, 2018.
To apply, applicants should submit an original essay of 500 to 750 words on the following teen driving topic:
Over the last decade, teenage driving became a controversial topic. Many argue that states should implement stricter driver license requirements and increase the legal driving age. What are alternative prevention methods that states can take to reduce crashes and injuries among young drivers?
Applicants also should upload as part of their submission package an official copy of a current academic transcript.
Entries will be reviewed by the law firm and judged based on their originality, creativity and merit.
