LOS ANGELES, CA, May 02, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Stained teeth are a common problem and affect most American adults at some point. The outer layer of teeth, or enamel, has a porcelain-like quality that is brilliant, shiny and white at first, but it is also porous. Over time, enamel can absorb stains, and combined with acid attacks and normal wear-and-tear, these stains can lead to teeth that are dull, dark and lackluster. Northridge dentists, Drs. Michel Elyson and Ramin Assili can help patients find the best whitening treatments for their needs.
Zoom whitening is a bleaching process that can be completed in about an hour. It is performed in the dental office, and while the solution is on the patient's teeth, the patient can sit back, relax, listen to music or watch TV. Once activated using the special Zoom light, the hydrogen peroxide whitening gel will penetrate deep inside the dental enamel to break up stains and lighten discolored material. For the best results, patients might be advised to undergo a professional dental cleaning before the teeth whitening treatment.
Candidates for Zoom include patients who have:
• Healthy teeth and gums
• No untreated dental disease
• No visible restorations
• Stains due to coffee, tea, soft drinks, berries and similar substances
Unlike DIY teeth whitening kits, Zoom works quickly and is performed by dental professionals, so patients can be confident of safe, effective results. For a limited time, Drs. Assili and Elyson are offering Zoom for just $199.
Other available whitening and cosmetic dentistry options include professional teeth whitening kits, porcelain veneers and smile makeovers. Drs. Elyson and Assili also offer a broad range of dental services, including routine exams, cleanings, crowns, extractions, tooth-colored fillings, laser dentistry, dental implants, dental bonding, pediatric dentistry, orthodontics and sedation dentistry.
