BBQ for the Badge at North Central Ford

    RICHARDSON, TX, May 15, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- North Central Ford of Richardson, Texas will host the 2018 annual BBQ for the Badge, a BBQ contest that benefits the Assist the Officer Foundation. This year's event will be in support of Officer Sherrard and his family, a 13-year veteran of the Richardson police department who tragically lose his life in the line of duty. BBQ for the Badge is an excellent opportunity to enjoy award-winning BBQ while supporting the local Fire Department, Police, and First Responders. In addition to BBQ, there will be vendor booths, Fire and Police apparatus displays, a DJ, and special appearances throughout the day.

BBQ for the Badge will take place in the parking lot of North Central Ford at 1819 N Central Expy on June 15th from 10 AM to 3 PM. Registration fees are $100 for BBQ contestants, limit to 10 teams. Meats included are ribs, chicken, and brisket. Judging begins at 12 PM, 1 PM, and 2 PM, respectively. IBCA rules apply. This is not a sanctioned event. The event is open to the public. Donations from the public to the Richardson Fire Fighters Association is welcome and at their discretion. The RFFA is a 501 c3 nonprofit organization and tax deductible.
