"...I'm going to hire her again!" - Alan Caso, ASC Career Achievement in Television award winner
LOS ANGELES, CA, May 29, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Women in Media (WiM) had a #HireTheseWomen lunch with American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) Career Achievement in Television award winner, Alan Caso at Canon Burbank earlier this month. This #HireTheseWomen lunch paired women working in the Camera or Grip & Electric department with Alan, who is looking to hire more women and women with diversity. The lunch allows a small batch of women to network with a person in a position to hire them.
Alan Caso is known for his work on Six Feet Under, The Americans, Hawaii 5-0, American Gothic, and the new Roswell among others. Alan Caso has 4 Primetime Emmy Nominations, 2 ASC awards, and two ASC nominations on top of that. While speaking with Tema Staig, Executive Director of Women in Media, Alan had the following to say, "The most inspiring Directors I work with almost across the board are women. They bring in something different, something new. Just the way they see life, and the way they see narrative is refreshing."
Alan Caso had attended a previous #HireTheseWomen event in January and hired a Women in Media member from that meeting named Shanele Alvarez. He said, "She was great! Shanele had been very on top of staying in touch since the meeting we had. She had a great reel and I just think she shows a lot of pizzazz and really has great taste so we brought her in from LA to shoot on Roswell… I'm going to hire her again!
