17th Annual 'Vintage Hollywood' Food and Wine Tasting Event to Benefit The People Concern

In support of one of LA's largest nonprofits fighting homelessness, the annual food & wine tasting event will feature dozens of the trendiest California wineries and restaurants



    LOS ANGELES, CA, May 24, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The People Concern, a nonprofit organization leading the effort to end homelessness in Los Angeles, announced today it will be the beneficiary of Vintage Hollywood's annual food and wine tasting event on Saturday June 9. Vintage Hollywood has hosted the event for more than 16 years and donated $3.5 million to local nonprofit organizations.

The event will bring out more than 30 of California's hottest wineries and restaurants for a charitable night also in celebration of The People Concern's 15-year community partnership with the Junior League of Los Angeles.

"We are grateful the Vintage Hollywood Foundation believes in the work we do so much that they chose us as the benefactor for this incredible event," said John Maceri, executive director of The People Concern. "We also can't say enough about the work Junior League has done for our organization. For the last 15 years, our partnership with them has been such an important collaboration. From volunteering and hosting workshops for our program participants to planning special events, donation drives and so much more, they have made an incredible impact on our community and those we serve."

Stanley Black and Family will host the summer evening under the stars, which will also bring out some of Hollywood's own stars. Past celebrity attendees include Kurt Russell (vintner of Gogi Wines), Courteney Cox, Marcia Cross, Greg Germann, David Arquette, Evan Handler and more.

Vintage Hollywood offers a unique experience for guests, as winemakers and proprietors will be on site pouring their own wines, giving guests quality time with the brains behind the bottles. In addition to tasting delectable wines and decadent fare, there will be live entertainment as well as a digital silent auction including one-of-a-kind experiences and gifts.

Participating wineries include: Blackbird Vineyards, Buttonwood, Donelan, The End of Nowhere, Fiddlehead Cellars, The 50 by 50, Ground Truth, Hillersden, Iconic, La Voix Winery, Lobjet Wines, Luna Hart, Matteo, Metrick, Navarro Vineyards, Rhone Valley Vineyards, Skipstone, Sweetzer Cellars, Terra Valentine, and Tierra y Vino.

Participating restaurants include: Ayara Thai, Pizza Buona, Del Frisco's Grille, Jar, Pizzeria il Fico, Napa Valley Grille, The Roof on Wilshire, Wood & Vine, The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills, Caked, Matteo Pasquini Espresso Bar, and Rum Bundtcious Cakes.
