SAN FRANCISCO, CA, June 13, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- CitiDent will be offering the Invisalign Scanner Element 2. With orthodontic treatments such as Invisalign, precision matters. Treatment is planned prior to initiation, and each tooth's movement is carefully mapped out before the aligners are even crafted. The iTero Element 2 combines precision, power, full-color imaging and speed in a portable, chair-side scanner.
San Francisco dentist, Dr. Ben Amini, along with Board Certified Orthodontist at CitiDent, Dr. Amanda Cheng, can use this chairside scanner to complete a full arch scan in as little as 60 seconds. The full-color images will be available for viewing in high-resolution with an intuitive wand touchpad that makes it easy to switch from specific oral regions to the entire mouth or to rotate areas of the model for a clearer view. With greater processing power, centralized wand location and an integrated battery, the iTero Element 2 can ensure that patients will enjoy greater convenience and treatment satisfaction.
Once a patient's teeth have been scanned, the images can be transformed into a 3D model, which is used as the foundation of the treatment plan. The positions of the teeth are gradually adjusted until each one is in its correct position. Invisalign aligners are then made to shift teeth according to the planned movements. Dr. Amini and Dr. Cheng can use Invisalign to treat many mild to advance orthodontic problems, including overbites, underbites and crowded teeth.
