SANTA BARBARA, CA, June 25, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Join Daria de Koning Fine Jewelry on Friday, June 29, and 30th, 2018 from 10am-5pm at Isla Boutique at the Hotel Californian, 36 State Street, Santa Barbara, for an exclusive Couture Jewelry trunk show. Come meet the artist behind these globally-inspired designs, Daria de Koning, as she showcases her one of a kind collection normally only available by private appointment.
Daria's use of matrix-rich stones drives the inspiration behind her signature statement pieces. Focusing on using cabochon cuts that allow for the stone's hue to glow from within, gives Daria her trademark "painting with gems" style using 18k yellow gold and the occasional diamond accent. "I love to use faceted gems as a highlight to the smooth contours of a cabochon, rather than as the focus of a piece," says Daria.
A stunningly curated collection of delicate yet bold, handcrafted necklaces, bracelets, and earrings will be available at this two-day event. Each one the singular work of an artist and each a unique jewel never to be repeated.
Visit dariadekoning.com for the full collection. Also, follow Daria de Koning Fine Jewelry on Instagram (@dariadekoning).
About Daria de Koning
Daria de Koning is the singular force behind her line of handcrafted fine jewelry based in the creative enclave of Silverlake, California. The daughter of an artistic Dutch immigrant and a fifth-generation American, Daria spent her childhood summers traveling from her family home in New York City to the Netherlands, the center of modern design. This juxtaposition of European modernism with a formal American upbringing deeply influenced her design sense and is at the core of her unique aesthetic she calls "painting with gemstones."
Daria's work has been featured in The Financial Times, The Huffington Post, Martha Stewart Weddings (for which Daria is a jewelry expert), New York Magazine, Marie Claire, O: The Oprah Magazine, Brides, Town & Country Weddings, Veranda and Women's Wear Daily, and C Weddings.
