Fort Worth Design District Announces 'Let Freedom Ring' Art Contest as Park of Their 'Snap and Share Art Walk' Mural Gallery

    FORT WORTH, TX, July 02, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Attention all Dallas/Fort Worth Graffiti and Street Artists, in collaboration with Box Office Warehouse Suites, the Fort Worth Design District has announced the opening of the 'Snap and Share Art Walk.' This art walk will feature four different themes, but most importantly, four different contests for local artists to display their work and talents. The 'Let Freedom Ring' edition of this art walk is accepting mural proposal submissions until July 9, 2018. Finalists are to begin painting on July 10, 2018 and the grand prize winner will be announced on July 21, 2018.

Artists applications are currently being accepted and can be submitted directly at www.boxofficewarehousesuites.com/let-freedom-ring. To be considered, artist must submit a portfolio as well as a proposed art piece relating to the 'Let Freedom Ring' theme. Artists will be chosen based on the proposed mural sketch.

An additional sixteen murals are projected to be painted on the buildings throughout the next year, as part of the 'Snap and Share Art Walk' initiative.

'Let Freedom Ring', the first edition of this art walk is a contest that encourages artists to submit a proposed mural that celebrates America, Freedom, Independence Day and everything Fourth of July related. This contest is open to the public and for people of all ages! The four finalists are expected to receive a $500 compensation per artist, with the grand prize totaling $1000. Artist submissions are currently being accepted, with a deadline of July 9, 2018. The four finalists will then be announced and painting of the murals is to take place between July 10, 2018 until July 20, 2018. During this time, judges will deliberate and judge artists based on the following criteria: color, originality and technique. The grand prize winner will be announced on July 21, 2018.
