FEEA Awards over 200 Scholarships!

    WASHINGTON, DC, September 05, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- FEEA is pleased to announce the finalists of its 2018 merit-based scholarship competition. This year, FEEA awarded 229 scholarships, with support from our partners. Selected from almost 3,000 applicants, these individuals were chosen for their outstanding academic achievements and community engagement.

The 2018 finalists represent a diverse set of academic majors. They also hail from all 50 states, DC, Puerto Rico, and overseas postings. The majority are children of federal employees who serve in close to 100 federal departments and agencies. Others are grandchildren of retired federal employees, and federal employees themselves.

The application for the 2019 FEEA Scholarship competition is now available through the FEEA website, www.feea.org. The deadline to apply is Monday, March 25th, 3:00pm EDT.

Since 1986, FEEA has offered scholarships to more than 10,000 individuals, including providing nearly 200 scholarships to the children of federal civilian employees who died or were severely injured in the line of duty during the terrorist attacks on the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, the Pentagon on 9-11, and the US Embassies and Consulates in Kenya, Tanzania, and Libya.
