MIAMI, FL, September 01, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Lynne Mitchell Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in Miramar whose mission is to support the educational needs of underprivileged children in Jamaica, is hosting its sixth-annual philanthropic gala on Saturday, Oct.13 at the Rusty Pelican (3201 Rickenbacker Cswy, Key Biscayne, FL). This year's theme, Studio 54 will take guests back in time to when rock stars, models and the socialites partied like no other and it's all for a great cause. The evening will be filled with food, drinks, silent and live auctions and more. Proceeds will directly help and improve the quality of learning conditions for primary-school children in Jamaica.
"The Gala is our much-anticipated signature event and draws support from our constituents near and far, who believe strongly in our mission and making education accessible for children, especially in these rural areas of Jamaica," said Marlene Gordon, President of the Lynne Mitchell Foundation. "It is thanks to the generous support of our donors that these children may be given the tools and resources to help them achieve a brighter future."
The sixth annual Gala event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 13, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Rusty Pelican in Key Biscayne. The evening will feature cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, a three-course dinner, silent and live auctions, dancing and more. For a VIP experience, guests may partake in a hors d'oeuvres and spectacular cocktail tasting starting at 6:00 p.m. prior to the opening reception. There is also an after party that begins at 10:15 p.m.
The sponsors of the gala include Hogan-Lovells, Kelley Drye, Tek Partners, Stacks Fernandez Anderson & Harris, Momentum Consulting, Signature Consulting, Pierce Promotions, Steven Douglas, Carrabba's Italian Grill, and Gravity IT.
General Admission Tickets are currently available for $100 per person and can be purchased online through EventBrite. The VIP reception requires a special VIP ticket that includes both the VIP reception and the main gala for $250. Those wishing to make a donation without attending the gala are also encouraged to do so through the foundation's web page. All donations are 100 percent tax deductible.
