Hispanic-Owned Argent Associates Awarded a 5-Year Contract with New York City

    PLANO, TX, October 12, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The contract, valued at an estimated six million dollars, is one of the largest contracts won by a Minority/Woman-owned business with the City.

Manetta and her team met recently with the City's DCAS team to ensure the City agencies have the critical resources and support they need to provide the best possible services to the public. Under the contract, Argent provides various City agencies with operational support, which includes products for fleet maintenance, fasteners, pneumatics and hydraulics. These products are critical for agencies such as the NYPD, FDNY, Department of Transportation and Department of Sanitation, where fleet maintenance is a vital part of supporting New York City and its residents.

DCAS assist agencies through the Office of Citywide Procurement (OCP) by providing a wide range of products and services through the development of contracts for all city agencies and departments to procure said products at pre-defined prices. The Requirements Contracts (RCs) are available to City agencies and allow them to make purchases through a single vendor. This allows the agencies to acquire products and materials to meet their needs quickly and cost competitively.
