SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA, December 11, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Coex Food Week Korea, Seoul's biggest food festival, has concluded with a successful outcome, attracting more than 53,000 visitors, which is a 17 percent increase from 2017.
The 13th Coex Food Week Korea featured 900 companies from 19 countries, occupying 1,500 booths across Coex Halls A to D. Especially, having presented two themes of 'Basic Hall' for food experts and 'Trend Hall' for the public added to freshness to this year's show.
'Basic Hall' was devoted to showcase the latest food trends in one place including all types of ingredients, machinery, and general to local representative food products. The visitors were attracted by special zones such as Strong Small Farm (SSF) Pavilion and Agriculture Market, HMR & Food Packaging Equipment and Material Zone, Bakery Fair and Kitchen Fair.
On the other hand, 'Trend Hall' offered visitors to experience all the trendy new food products and participate in various hands-on programs. Within Hall C, 'Seoul Dessert Show' presented all sorts and kinds of pastries and sweets, and famous chefs were invited to carry out baking sessions. Moreover, at the 'ASEAN Culinary Festival', visitors had the opportunity to taste variety of local specialties from 10 ASEAN countries and this festival drew in a steady steam of both food experts and foodies. Additionally, food flea market, 'Ddingul Market', and beer zone, 'The Lounge of Craft Beer' created a scene for culinary experiences.
Furthermore, educational programs such as 'Korea ToodTech Conference 2018', 'Seoul Cold Chain Forum 2018', 'Nutriand Food Talk Show', 'Food Safety and Food Industry Co-Development Seminar', and 'HACCP KOREA 2018' offered useful information concerning key issues and current trends.
The head of Coex Food Week Korea Secretariat said, "This year, [exhibition] was able to receive high satisfaction ratings from visitors because of the variety in the pavilions and programs. We hope that the show was as meaningful to everyone as it was for us as Coex Food Week Korea demonstrated to be the business platform for those in the F&B industry and the public."
The next year's edition of Coex Food Weeek Korea will be from November 20th to 23rd at Coex Halls A~D, Seoul, South Korea.
