DULUTH, MN, January 03, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mankato, Minnesota personal injury attorneys Randall G. Knutson and Timothy J. Lessman of the Knutson + Casey law firm are representing a Minnesota juvenile who was sexually assaulted by an employee of The Hills Youth and Family Services facility, located in Duluth, Minnesota.
The employee, Mark David Painter, used his access to the juvenile residents to create a system in which he would supply contraband to juveniles in exchange for sexual acts. Painter is currently facing five counts of Third Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct in St. Louis County.
Attorney Lessman says that "there is an inherent cruelty to these actions, because they were committed by a person of authority, and because they were committed against young people that were there seeking help. On behalf of the entire family, we are looking to remedy the situation, and make sure it can never happen again".
Plaintiffs are represented by attorneys Randall G. Knutson and Timothy J. Lessman of Knutson + Casey Law Firm, with offices in Mankato and Edina, Minnesota. The case is entitled J.G., a minor, by and through his father and natural guardian, Jaime Garcia v. Mark David Painter and The Hills Youth and Family Services, f/k/a St. James Home of Duluth, Inc., Court File No.: 69DU-CV-18-3199.
