Ovation Brands® and Furr's Fresh Buffet® Explore The Wonderful World of Reading With Newest Family Night, Jan. 17

    SAN ANTONIO, TX, January 12, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ovation Brands'® portfolio of restaurants - Old Country Buffet®, Ryan's® and HomeTown® Buffet - and Furr's Fresh Buffet® are partnering with HarperCollins Children's Books for their latest Family Night program featuring the I Can Read! book series. The six-week program aims to open up the wonders of reading for children and will kick off on Thursday, January 17, 2019. Family Night is every Thursday from 5-8 p.m. Activities may vary by location.

"Literacy is important for kids of all ages and what better way to encourage a love for reading than by starting early. The I Can Read! books make reading fun and shareable."

I Can Read! books are published through HarperCollins Children's Books and is widely recognized as the premier line of beginning readers. Their portfolio includes hundreds of titles and features award-winning authors and illustrators, as well as a number of beloved characters. The I Can Read! Family Night will spotlight three books, including "I Want To Be a Doctor," "Biscuit and the Big Parade!" and "Splat the Cat Gets a Job!" Books are color-coded by reading level, from "My Very First" books to "Advanced Reading."

From January 17 through February 21, restaurants will be offering engaging activities that are inspired by the I Can Read! books, from rhymes to learning about the Five Ws to phonics and more. The following are the weekly themes.

● January 17: Stories That Make You Say…
● January 24: Finding the Perfect Word
● January 31: What's Your Story?
● February 7: Rhyme Time
● February 14: Sounds Phishy
● February 21: Story Time

Throughout the promotion, guests may register for their chance to win the I Can Read! book library with the I Can Read! Sweepstakes. Entries will be accepted at participating stores or online at ICanReadGiveaway.com. One entry per family.

Family Night offers wholesome fun for the entire family to enjoy together. Every Thursday also features discounted meals for kids, when they can eat for just $1.99 from 4 p.m. - close, with the purchase of a regular-priced adult or senior meal. Menus may vary. Age restrictions apply.
