SEOUL, KOREA, January 22, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- MIK INNOVATION NIGHT 2019 (MIK NIGHT) with the goal to promote Korean companies to the world was held at Hotel Luxor during the period which CES 2019, the world's largest technology show was held. Around 150 people from companies, media, investors, and buyers participated, and this project ended with success, achieving its goal of promoting the Korean companies to the world.
MIK NIGHT is a networking event to expand the business by inviting the investors, buyers, and media that the companies met during the show. It was jointly organized by AVING NEWS and GMEG with the purpose of extending the meeting from one-time encounter to continuous relationship in terms of business.
The opening performance was performed by CEO Lee Hyeon-jong from Robolink with a drone magic show. The magic show was performed with the drones owned by Robolink, and it grabbed the attention from the participants. Before beginning the show, Lee said, "Our drone Zümi entered the contest for 2019 Innovation Award and received an award for being most innovative in robot and drone area. We are planning to expand our scale by hosting international-scale Codrone and robot contests and on-off distribution sales channel."
CEO and Publisher Kidai Kim from AVING NEWS strongly emphasized in the opening speech, "I think Korea is the most innovative country in the world, and the most innovative startups in Korea should provide the solutions, ideas, and inspirations that are needed to solve the problems in human society in CES 2019."
Next, Director Park Chan-jong from Daejeon Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency said in the congratulatory speech that Korean startups had the chance to test how much global competitiveness their ideas and business items have, and their technologies like VR/AR, big data, health care device received so much attention as the major technologies in the fourth industrial revolution. He also said that as the possibility is high, he thinks more efforts and support from the Korean government is needed for Korean startups to enter the global market, and with this opportunity, he wishes for good outcome.
JEFFREY POWER representing the global media said "I've visited all CES halls and I have looked for the most innovative companies. And, I think they are here. I hope everyone takes interest and have network with these innovative companies."
Next, as the main part of MIK INNOVATION NIGHT, it was BEST OF MADE IN KOREA TOP2@CES2019 award, in which the media partners of MIK NIGHT go through evaluation and selects two companies. The judges to select TOP2 were Jeffrey Powers from GEEKAZINE, USA, Leo Thevent from Lecafedegeek, France, Juan Diaz Castromil from Clipset, Spain, Yasuhiro Yamane from Japan, Hyung-seok Kang fron IT Dong-a, Korea, and Kidai Kim from AVING NEWS. Among the participating media, Clipset is a popular tech channel in Spain with a YouTube channel with 1.7 mil subscribers and 260 mil views.

This year's MIK NIGHT was attended by Daegu Technopark Mobile Convergence Center, Daejeon Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency, Daejeon Centers for Creative Economy & Innovation, Incheon Business Information Technopark, Changwon Industry Promotion Agency, SeongNam Industry Promotion Agency, Korea Invention Promotion Association, and 45 companies.
MIK project was initiated by AVING NEWS in 2016 with the goal to promote companies in Korea to the world, and 10 events have been held so far. This project is the first global project for MIK, and the global MICE company GMEG and startup zone Eureka Park co-hosted MIK INNOVATION HOT SPOT, so a separate MIK NIGHT event was held. Starting 2019, all information in the company will be made into video news to build MIK ONLINE HOT SPOT.
