EAU CLAIRE, WI, February 06, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Realityworks, Inc., announces three new training tools for agriculture education: the Bovine Injection Simulator, the Milking Udder Simulator and the Cow Anatomy 3D Flip Chart. These unique tools join a line that include the Bovine Breeder artificial insemination simulator, which was released in 2018. All are aimed at engaging today's students in agriculture career exploration, training them on core concepts and helping them develop skills they can use to fill job openings in the field of agriculture.
"Although interest in agriculture education and local FFA organizations is growing, fewer and fewer students are coming to these programs 'from the farm,'" said Realityworks RealCareer Product Manager Jamey McIntosh. "Agriculture instructors need realistic, engaging tools they can use in the classroom to help students develop targeted job skills."
The Bovine Injection Simulator is a one-of-a-kind teaching tool that enables students to practice proper cattle injection, ear tagging and growth implant techniques on a life-size simulator. Designed to be as realistic as possible, this simulator even features a jugular pulse, true-to-life hide and muscle feel.
The Milking Udder Simulator lets students practice proper udder care, milk disease treatment and prevention on a working udder model. It features four separate chambers that can be filled with fluid and can show correct milking machine fit and function.
The Cow Anatomy 3D Flip Chart gives instructors an opportunity to reference three detailed bovine illustrations – that of the external cow, the skeleton and the internal organs and reproductive system – on large-scale, detailed relief chart.
"We developed these new products in partnership with educators to ensure we were creating what they wanted for the classroom," said McIntosh. "These training tools give ag students the chance to learn and practice real-life job skills without leaving the classroom."
Realityworks continues to look for other product development opportunities in areas with a skills gap to engage today's students in needed career fields.
