SECAUCUS, NJ, February 07, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- On February 7th, Rx.Health announced that it has entered into a five-year collaboration focused on personalized healthcare and the utilization of real world evidence to improve health outcomes in people with Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD). The goal of the collaboration is to develop targeted and novel digital care solutions for key gap areas across the disease spectrum, starting by bringing structured data on patient reported outcomes into clinical workflows.
The collaboration will build on Rx.Health's existing work in driving digital healthcare solutions across the United States. "We are committed to patient activation and continuous engagement, which is essential as everyone in the spectrum of healthcare continues to acclimate to value-based care. This collaboration exemplifies the type of multi-stakeholder collaborations between payers, health systems, and pharmaceutical companies that are necessary as we rethink how we engage the patient on a monthly, weekly, and even daily basis," said Andy Pfau, Rx.Health's Chief Operating Officer. "This collaboration will provide invaluable insight into how we view patient-reported data as a springboard for change and innovation."
Rx Health will leverage the clinical trial network NODE.Health to identify study sites. NODE.Health, a 501(c)(3) not for profit corporation, provides a common forum for evidence-based digital medicine that brings together a network of societies, organizations, and innovators dedicated to digital transformation in health through clinical validation.
Rx.Health is changing the way both patients and providers think about digital medicine. A spinoff from the Mount Sinai Health System, Rx.Health's flagship product, RxUniverse, is the first enterprise-wide Digital Medicine delivery system that enables physicians to prescribe evidence-based mobile health applications, multi-media education, wearables, and therapeutics to patients at the point of care.
