NEW YORK, NY, May 30, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- This week, the owner of the Vladdys Diamonds boutique , Vladdy Aminov, shared with us how he fell in love with jewelry, and the importance of craftsmanship, Custom Designs, and community.
Jewelry artist, and boutique owner Vladdy Aminov believes in being hands-on.
Not only does he custom his jewelry, both a collection and custom designs, but he also handpicks every local and international piece of jewelry stocked in his New York boutique, Vladdys Diamonds.
His unique store, which opened in 1998, has served its customer focusing on giving the best service possible. "Family values, community-oriented," Vladdy said. "I wanted the focus to be on the relationship first."
For Vladdy himself is all about creating a long-lasting legacy.
It's no small feat for a small business to last 20 years. According to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, only 33 percent of small businesses make it past 10 years.
Small, local businesses like Vladdy's Diamonds make up the lion's share of the jewelry industry.
About 90 percent of the specialty jewelers in the U.S. generate less than $2.5 million in annual sales, and most only operate one or two stores, according to the International Diamond Exchange.
Vladdy said the business has made it through the years because of its expertise and focus on customers.
"You're becoming part of the fabric of the relationship and to have fun and get to meet amazing people makes it easier to fall in love with the industry," he said. "I love that."
Seeing celebrities run into his shop isn't new to Vladdy. From Cardi B to Jadakiss, and much more, the store is often visited by top celebrities from all industries.
Just recently, Dominican Rapper & Hip Hop Artist, Shelow Shaw, came by the store to get a custom made piece done.
