My goal is to find the root cause of my patient's brain disease and address the underlying issues rather than mask symptoms with tried-but-failed drug rituals & their often-debilitating side-effects.
SEATTLE, WA, May 30, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Brain Health & Research Institute (BH&RI), led by medical pioneer and functional medicine expert Dr. Mary Kay Ross, today announced the hiring of Jeremy Whiting, D.O. for its inaugural location in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Whiting will serve as one of the practice's founding doctors, beginning September 1, 2019—the official opening of the brain health and treatment center.
"We all deserve optimal health, a sharp mind, filled with the focus and energy to live full and vital lives," said Dr. Whiting. "My cause in life—and the reason I became an osteopathic practitioner—is to find the root cause of disease within my patients with a focus on addressing the underlying issue rather than masking the symptoms with tried-and-failed drug rituals and their equally challenging side effects," Whiting added.
A former United States Air Force officer, now serving in the Air Force Reserve, Whiting attended Brigham Young University and then Lincoln Memorial University—DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. Most recently, Dr. Whiting served as Chief Resident at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, OH. Whiting currently attends George Washington University where he is completing his fellowship in Integrative Medicine. He has trained with Dr. Ross at her Savanah clinic for the past year, focused on Alzheimer's Disease.
Dr. Ross, BH&RI Founder and CEO, described Dr. Whiting's addition to the team as "an ideal fit." Ross continued, "We have witnessed neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and dementia increase at an alarming rate globally, with little to no hope in sight from traditional, drug-driven medical practices. Dr. Whiting joins us as we say, 'enough is enough' for the millions of human beings living with these devastating diseases."
