Vancouver Animation School Announces New Esports Program

    VANCOUVER, BC, June 05, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Vancouver Animation School (www.vanas.ca) announced today the launch of the first Esports post-secondary program of its kind in Canada. Accepted applicants will be able to enroll in a full online course, or experience it via Blended delivery in Vancouver.

This program comes as a result of extensive research conducted in the past few years, with the aim to gain deeper understanding of the developing Esports market. Consultations with Esports teams, experts, leagues and individual competitors led to valuable insight into the state of this fast-growing industry.

Vancouver Animation School has developed a curriculum in order to fulfill the requirements of post-secondary education, taking a closer look at points of interest in relation to Esports. The subjects include Esports Foundations, Industry Knowledge and Analysis, Content Creation & Sponsorships, as well as Team Management.

Each step has followed close cooperation with Esports associations and related organizations, formulating industry standards and creating educational language to define them.

The Esports program is currently accepting applications for the first-generation starting September 30th, 2019.
