New Website Showcases Minnesota Technology Corridor

The website showcases premier project sites that are ready for technology business development.



    RAMSEY, MN July 09, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A comprehensive new online portal to highlight the Minnesota Technology Corridor was just launched. The website showcases premier project sites that are ready for technology business development.

Minneapolis/Saint Paul is one of the largest and fastest growing tech regions in the country. The MN Tech Corridor includes Northeast suburbs of Minneapolis less than 30 minutes from the Twin Cities and Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport with convenient access to Interstate I-35.

The goal of the new site is to promote the MN Tech Corridor to a national/international audience in order to attract new businesses and jobs to the region and spur economic development.

Connexus Energy helped lead this initiative from the beginning, according to Principal of Community and Economic Development Bruce Sayler. Connexus Energy, Anoka and Washington counties provided financial support for the effort.

"A coalition of five different cities, two counties and multiple utilities is at the heart of this effort. We are putting the MN Technology Corridor on the map," Sayler said.

The MN Tech Corridor's target industries include: data centers, call centers and high tech engineering firms. The user-friendly new website has a wealth of valuable information for site selectors and businesses considering locating in the region such as available sites and incentives as well as community profiles and worforce.

The MN Tech Corridor selected Golden Shovel Agency to design the website, a national economic development communications firm recognized for its award-winning design and expertise in business and workforce attraction.

The Minnesota Technology Corridor consists of the cities of Centerville, Columbus, Forest Lake, Hugo and Lino Lakes, Minnesota with assets appropriate for technology business development. Situated along I-35, the area has abundant fiber, water and power access. The corridor features project sites between 20-250-acre parcels and is close to the urban core of the Twin Cities, within 20 minutes of downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul.
