BRIDGEWATER, NJ, July 28, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A Somerset County tradition since 1948, the 4-H Fair will be held in North Branch Park, 355 Milltown Road in Bridgewater, N.J. from Wednesday, August 7 through Friday, August 9, 2019. • Displays, information, contests and free gifts from non-profits and area businesses
• Petting areas and information about how to join 4-H at many animal tents
"The 4-H Fair is one of the most highly anticipated events in Somerset County, with a long history and tradition of bringing together residents, area businesses and non-profits for three days of fun," said Jackie Morales, Somerset County Tourism director. "The attendance numbers speak volumes about the positive experiences of 4-H members who are sharing their projects, skills and interests, and also of the attendees who come to support such a worthwhile program."
The 4-H Youth Development Program is a division of the Rutgers Cooperative Extension; the fair is sponsored by the Somerset County 4-H Association and the Board of Chosen Freeholders. Members and club leaders, volunteer fair managers and parents work together to make the fair the largest event in Somerset County. Representatives from Somerset County government, Raritan Valley Community College, Somerset County Veterans Services, Rutgers Cooperative Extension, Somerset County Park Commission and Somerset County Library will also be exhibiting.
