NASHVILLE, TN, August 17, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- For the first time in its 25 year history, "FunkFest Nashville www.funkfesttour.com" made its mark in the Music City. At Nashville's iconic Nissan Stadium some of music's colossal artists serenaded a packed house. A sound stage with extreme clarity and visibility provided the perfect excuse to spend 2 days of dancing and singing your favorite hits. Food and drinks were plenty with vendors surrounding patrons for a comfortable spacious dining experience.
Friday artists like Silk in their all-white party attire moved with synchronicity and poise. Tank and Monica also brought their A-games with an angelic voice and stage expertise. But Keith Sweat truly had the experience and skill to entertain generations of old and new listeners. Sweat still commands his title and will not allow being eclipsed. "Make it Last Forever" is a sure career proverb for Mr. Sweat.
Saturday was the all about that bump and base. I can't say enough about the crowd and vibe. It was hype from early day to closure. Mystical arrived injured with a crutch in right hand and microphone in left. He did not let any injury prevent his lyrics from flowing like water from a spout. If you did not shake ya apple bottom you must have been dead. Memphis MJG and 8Ball were a home-state favorite and did not disappoint. An entourage of over 25 provided support for an outstanding performance. The Next honor and praise goes to the Diamond Princess herself (Trina). In her beautiful glitter gold bodysuit, Trina delivered the sexy and lyrical performance that has implanted her as a legend in the music industry. In all his black gear next arrived "The Snowman" Jeezy. What else can be said for an artist that continues to entertain and re-invent his trueness to perfection? The crowd was singing the words in unison and driving positive energy.
Last but not least was the Boss himself (Miami's King of Big Tyme -Rick Ross). The Boss brought the house down as expected. His crowd appeal and relationship with fan base was sealed with his announcement of new album Port of Miami 2. Don't get it twisted, this artist understands the music game and has mastered an ability to perpetuate success with repetition. Funkfest Nashville was a welcomed addition to the Music City as it continues to grow beyond limited genre. With an increasing population of diverse music listeners in Nashville, the sky is the limit for FunkFest Nashville.
